The classic route Base around Hampi Bazaar / Hospet and run the standard 2-day plan - the easiest, most dependable version of the trip.
Group it by area Cluster the sights by area - the old town and bazaars in one block, the outskirts (forts, gardens, museums) in another - so you are not crossing the city twice.
