Day-by-day plan

1. Days 1–2 — Delhi to ManaliHighway drive to Manali; acclimatise before the high passes.
2. Days 3–4 — Manali to LehCross Atal Tunnel, Baralacha La and Tanglang La with a halt at Jispa/Sarchu.
3. Days 5–6 — Leh acclimatisationRest, monasteries (Thiksey, Hemis) and Leh market before going higher.
4. Days 7–8 — Nubra ValleyOver Khardung La to Hunder dunes and Diskit; overnight in Nubra.
5. Days 9–10 — Pangong TsoDrive to Pangong via Shyok; sunrise by the lake.
6. Days 11–12 — Tso MoririRemote Changthang plateau to Tso Moriri and Korzok.
7. Days 13–14 — Leh to KargilReturn via Lamayuru moonland and the Kargil war memorial.
8. Days 15–16 — SrinagarZoji La descent into Kashmir; Dal Lake and Sonamarg.
9. Days 17–19 — Srinagar to DelhiLong return drive via Jammu back to Delhi.
