The sweet spot for visiting Leh is June to September. Give it 6–8 days to do it justice. Budget roughly ₹20,000–₹35,000 per person for a DIY trip. It is a good fit if you are after road trips, culture and heritage and nature. It is a sensible pick for solo women travellers.

The classic route Base around Leh town and run the standard 4-day plan - the easiest, most dependable version of the trip.

  • Fuel up in Leh; pumps are scarce beyond it.
  • Flying in is fastest but raises AMS risk - drink water, skip alcohol day one.
