About this trek

Kuari Pass, made famous by Lord Curzon and early explorers, is one of the great viewpoint treks of the Garhwal Himalaya. From the pass at about 4,264 m you look straight across at Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Kamet and the Chaukhamba range.

The trail winds through dense forests, the meadows of Gorson Bugyal and snowfields, making it a superb winter snow trek as well as an autumn classic. It begins near Joshimath/Auli.
