About this trek

Har Ki Dun is a gorgeous, cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Govind Pashu Vihar sanctuary, ringed by the Swargarohini massif. The trail passes through ancient villages with distinctive wooden architecture, terraced fields and pine forest, offering a window into old Garhwali life.

Doable across much of the year and beginner-friendly for a longer trek, it can be extended to the Jaundhar glacier or the Maninda Tal lake. Spring brings wildflowers; autumn brings crisp, clear views.
