About this trek

The Sar Pass trek, long run by youth-hostelling groups, climbs from Kasol through the village of Grahan and lush meadows to a pass at about 4,220 m. “Sar” refers to a small frozen lake near the top.

Its signature thrill is the long snow-slide descent off the pass. Mixed forest, meadows and snowfields make it a well-rounded moderate trek for those with basic fitness.
